TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully.
You must not make any booking unless you understand and agree with the following terms and conditions.
In these booking Terms & Conditions the expressions, “Travel At Leisure” means Travel At Leisure Pty. Ltd. trading as France at Leisure ABN 87 099 168 537 or associated persons and related employees.
The expression “we”, “our” and “us” include TRAVEL AT LEISURE trading as France At Leisure and entities that assist or participate with TRAVEL AT LEISURE in the provision of the services it has agreed to provide.
The expressions “you” (if booking directly with us or through a travel agent) and your travel agent on your behalf (if booking through a travel agent), “your”, “client”, customer” or “passenger”. “your travel agent” include a person seeking or requiring the services offered by TRAVEL AT LEISURE, all other persons (if any) included with that person in the booking and that person’s or those persons’ travel agent (if any).
The expression “service provider” and "supplier" means the party providing the service or services and associated matters to the Customer for the provision of the means the third party entity providing the travel products and services.
Our obligation to the Customer is to (and under your authorisation) make travel bookings on his behalf and to arrange contracts between the Customer and travel service providers.
We exercise care in the selection of reputable service providers, but we are not ourselves a provider of travel services and have no control over, or liability for, the services provided by third parties.
All bookings are made on your behalf are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by these service providers.
On request, we can provide you with copies of the relevant service provider terms and conditions.
Your legal recourse is against the specific provider and not us. If for any reason, any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted your remedy lies against the service provider and not with us.
We may receive commissions from third parties under this contract for making travel service bookings on your behalves.
Information about travel destinations, airfares, flight times and dates, tours, packages, insurance, rental properties, transfers, timing, itineraries etc. have been supplied to Travel At Leisure by Service Providers and Land Content Providers. Travel At Leisure uses reasonable care to ensure the information is correct at the time of quotation but is not liable to the Customer for any inaccuracies.
Travel At Leisure accepts no liability or responsibility for information supplied to it by Service Providers, nor does Travel At Leisure make any warranty or representation regarding the standard of the information, the safety or otherwise of the Customer’s travel destination. Travel At Leisure recommends that the Customer independently verify all travel service information and make its own inquiries with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade as to the safety and suitability of the Customer’s travel destination.
Recommendations and bookings of all Travel Services we arrange are provided by suppliers we believe to be reputable and to operate in accordance with the standards set down by their own local authorities.
AMENDMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, PARTIAL CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
All cancellations, partial cancellations or amendments for any Travel Services must be made in writing directly through TRAVEL AT LEISURE.
If you cancel your booking after it has been confirmed, but before you utilise the Travel Services, an administration cancellation fees specified below apply.
Subject to your refund and rights under the Australian Consumer Law, the following change and cancellation fees apply to all bookings and in addition to Service Provider's fees:
- Changes to bookings will incur a fee of $50 per passenger per booking in addition to supplier fees.
- Cancellations to International bookings will incur a fee of $250 per passenger per booking in addition to supplier fees.
Supplier change and cancellation fees: Cancelled bookings may incur supplier fees, which can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced. Where Travel At Leisure incurs any liability for a supplier cancellation fee for any booking which you change or cancel, you agree to indemnify us for the amount of that fee.
Where you seek a refund for a cancelled booking for which payment has been made to the supplier, we will not provide a refund to you until we receive the funds from that supplier (which may take up to 12 weeks dependent upon the supplier processing time).
It is the Customer’s responsibility to read the Service Provider terms and conditions on brochures, internet sites and/or attached to the quotations, or confirmation and documents issued to the customer by Travel At Leisure.
FAILURE TO PROVIDE SERVICES
If for any reason the Service Provider is unable to provide the services for which the Customer has contracted, the Customer acknowledges that its remedy lies with the Service Provider and not with Travel At Leisure.
As your agent, we will do our best to assist with the changes for the alternative arrangements with the same service provider or an alternative one which may occur additional cost to you.
DELAYS IN REFUNDS
Many airlines, cruise, tour companies and hotels, in normal circumstances, can take up to 24 weeks to process refunds. If applicable, TRAVEL AT LEISURE will pass on the refund to you only after it has received the funds back from the supplier.
TRAVEL SERVICES PRICES
All Travel Services quoted and/or shown on our website indicate the price for the Travel Services only, they do not, unless specified, indicate the availability of the Travel Services. Prices in this website are valid for travel up to 31st December 2020, unless superseded or otherwise indicated.

- indicative only and subject to change until all of your booking details have been provided to us, we have confirmed your booking and you have paid in full; and
- for the number of persons, items or time periods and on the conditions stated on the relevant page of the website, and (e) do not include city taxes which are payable at the time of check- out.
“From” Prices - The expression “from” with respect to a price means the lowest price for the Travel Service we believe is available at the time of publication, based on information we have received from suppliers and exchange rates.
A quote for Travel Services is valid for 5 days from the date the quote is sent to you. This excludes non-refundable rates.
All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by the Service Provider. The details of prices, packages, tours, flights and other information provided to the Customer are subject to change without notice until full payment is made.
NON-REFUNDABLE RATES (INSTANT PURCHASE)- Payment for instant purchase product is due immediately by credit card.
The booking is subject to availability and the price can change until confirmed. Please call our office immediately after payment.
Price Changes: Travel At Leisure reserves the right to increase prices until full payment is made - this surcharges may be incurred (without limitation) in connection with:
- Currency exchange rates, increases in Product prices, fuel levies, scheduled airfares, hotel, cruise and ground transportation charges, entrance fees and any other increases in connection with the Travel Arrangements.
- Where there is any change in the costs incurred by TRAVEL AT LEISURE in providing the Services, Travel At Leisure may vary its price to account for such change by notifying the Customer, prior the full payment is made.
- Changes in the Australian Dollar – the financial commitments TRAVEL AT LEISURE undertakes in order to offer the prices mean that prices cannot be reduced or refunded if the Australian dollar strengthens.
PAYMENT - DEPOSIT - PROGRESS PAYMENT - FINAL PAYMENT
Travel At Leisure will ask the Customer to pay for the travel products and services provided by the Service Providers. The timing and method of payment depend on the requirements of each Service Provider. The Customer agrees that it will pay Travel At Leisure when requested to do so by Travel At Leisure.
If the Customer fails to pay Travel At Leisure when requested to do so, the Customer acknowledges that the Travel Service Providers may withhold the travel products and services and may cancel any bookings made for the Customer. Any penalties or costs incurred in doing so will be paid by the Customer.
Payment can be made by Cash, Cheque, Direct deposit or by Credit Card.

You are responsible for all immigration, passport, visa, health, quarantine and customs laws, regulations, orders, demands or other requirements of countries visited or transited. You should check the requirements of those countries with their embassies or consulates or other authorities. Official travel advice issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is available by calling (in Australia) 1300 555 135 or visiting their website www.dfat.gov.au. We recommend that you review this information both prior to making your booking and prior to departure. We strongly recommend that you also register your upcoming travel plans through the smarttraveller.gov.au site.
You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to your travel and ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. In some cases, failure to present required vaccination documentation (e.g. proof of Yellow Fever vaccination) may deny you entry into a country. We recommend that you consult with your local doctor, travel medical service or specialist vaccination clinic before commencing your travel. General health advice for the destination you wish to visit is also available from DFAT (see smarttraveller.gov.au).
Passport and Visa
The Customer is responsible for obtaining all passport, visa and health requirements prior to travelling.
Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents and health not meeting the requirements of the relevant immigration and other government authorities at the Customer’s destination will be the Customer’s sole responsibility.
TRAVEL AT LEISURE as the travel agent shall not be liable in any way to Passenger for death, bodily injury, illness, damage, delay or other loss or detriment to person or property or for Service providers' failure to commence, perform and/or complete any duty owed to Passenger if such death, delay, bodily injury (including emotional distress or injury), illness, damage or other loss or detriment to person or property is caused by Act of God, war or war-like operations, terrorist activities, pandemic, civil commotions, labour difficulties, whether or not the service provider is a party thereto, interference by authorities, requisitioning of the premises of way of transport such as train, car, coach or vessels.
COMPREHENSIVE TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is not included in our prices. Travel At Leisure strongly recommends that the customer and his fellow travellers take out appropriate travel insurance to protect the Customer and travellers against forfeiture of payment, loss of deposits, cancellation charges, baggage loss, medical expenses, theft, any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event which is beyond the control of the Customer or which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on the Customer’s part.
Travel At Leisure will not be responsible or liable to the Customer for any injury, damage of items during the travel period, loss of belongings during the travel period, delay, additional expense or inconvenience suffered by the Customer.
We are an authorised representative of CoverMore Insurance Services Pty Ltd (ABN 95 003 114 145) ("Cover-More") and receive financial income when you buy travel insurance products through us. We are authorised to provide you with general advice about, and arrange, travel insurance products on behalf of Cover-More and its the insurer, Zurich Australian Insurance Limited (ABN 13 000 296 640). You must read the Combined Financial Services Guide/Product Disclosure Statement before you decide to buy the travel insurance product you are considering purchasing to ensure it meets your needs and financial situation.
LAW AND JURISDICTION
The agreement between us and you in respect of the services to be provided is constituted solely by these terms and conditions and is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. We and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Queensland and the Courts of appeal therefrom.
The travel products and services offered and promoted by Travel At Leisure are the products and services of the Service Provider. Travel At Leisure will facilitate the Customer’s travel arrangements, including processing the Customer’s bookings and making payments. Travel At Leisure acts as an agent for the Service Provider. The Customer’s legal relationship in respect of the Service Provider’s products and services is with the Service Provider.
Travel At Leisure and its officer’s employee’s or other representatives will not be liable for damages or otherwise in connection with the Customer’s use of any products or services supplied, organised or recommended by Travel At Leisure.
To the extent permitted by law, all express and implied warranties, guarantees, representations or terms are expressly excluded. Where the law implies any warranty guarantee or condition which cannot be excluded, our liability to you for breach thereof is limited to supplying the services again or payment of the cost of having the services supplied again. Maximum Liability Despite any other provision of these terms and conditions, to the extent permitted by law, our maximum liability to you or any third party is limited to the price you have paid us for the booking.
We endeavour to ensure that the arrangements we have made for you are implemented as arranged. If a problem occurs, the most practical way to deal with it is to attempt resolution locally with the supplier. If you fail to follow this course, any claim for compensation may be reduced or denied. If you have any unresolved complaint, details should be lodged in writing (with supporting documentation, including efforts made with the supplier to resolve it) directly with us within 14 days of your trip concluding. No claim made after this period will be considered.
